BetterFaith · Social Redesign

Stop scrolling past
your own feed.

A new visual system + content engine for @joinbetterfaith — built to feel intentional, stop the scroll, and turn quiet lurkers into a waitlist. Daily verses become one lane of six.

The problem, named

The grid reads "low-effort." Here's the fix.

From the live audit. At ~112 followers you're pre-traction — nothing to protect, everything to restage. The whole game is looking intentional.

1

Kill the wall of verses

"Daily Verses" is 1 of only 2 IG highlights — verse-posting got enshrined as a pillar. Cap standalone verses to ≤1 in 6 and redesign the survivors.

2

Rewrite the bio

It repeats itself and never says who it's for or what to do. New: "therapy for your soul — 1:1 guidance from vetted Christian mentors."

3

Templates + palette rhythm

4 template families, a warm palette rotated on a repeating tile pattern. That alone fixes ~80% of "ugly."

4

Faces beat graphics

Guide talking-head Reels are your biggest untapped, on-brand, trust-building asset. Real people humanize the marketplace.

The content engine

Six pillars — so it's never "just verses"

Same wedge, three tones: warm posts say you're not alone, edgy posts say stop pretending you're fine, product posts say here's the person who'll walk with you.

20

Anchored Word

Elevated, themed scripture — one template, one verse chosen for the week's emotion. Never random.

20

The Honest Table

The edgy lane. Names the ache no cautious church account will say out loud. Bold, but always pastoral.

20

You're Not the Only One

Written to the 5 emotional segments. Highest save + DM-share rate. Turns lurkers into "they get me."

15

What Soul-Care Is

Category education — what a guide even is (not a therapist, pastor, or guru). Builds the vocabulary the ask needs.

10

Rhythms & Practices

"Do this tonight" — how to pray with no words, a 2-min examen. Saveable proof you add value first.

15

Meet Your Guide

Soft product. Real vetted humans + their story. Makes "book a 1:1" feel like meeting a person.

The look

Four faces, one printed-poster feel

Aesthetic leads; brand is a thread. Every graphic carries real film grain + halftone, so it reads like something printed and thrifted — not generated.

Fraunces · soulful editorial serif (hero)
You reached out.
Heaven went quiet.
Anton · condensed poster punch (edgy)
Discipled by an algorithm
Caveat · hand accent  ·  DM Serif · Didone
completely alone   Jesus is Light
Bricolage Grotesque · captions & labels
Warm, plain, a little bold. The image carries the punch; the caption carries the nuance.

Simplified sunrise. Your busy freehand sun-mark, distilled to a clean semicircle + a few even rays — a small recurring signature, not a heavy illustration on every tile.

Do
  • Type fills the frame, thumbnail-legible
  • Mix a display + a script accent
  • Real grain on every graphic
  • Name the emotion, then offer hope
Don't
  • Naked screenshots / stock crosses
  • Clean, flat, "template" gradients
  • Weaponize scripture / shame doubt
  • Stack CTAs or churchy jargon
The money shot

Your new feed, at a glance

What a first-time visitor sees: cohesive color rhythm, mixed display faces, real texture, a mix of formats. Reads like a magazine, not a bulletin board. (Reels ▶ · carousels ❏)
